This page is kind of like a dumping ground.  Beware!  Danger! Turn Around!

My name is Koyu.  And I’m on a journey that started with my obsession with clothes, food, and everything in between.  It started with my being honest with myself and so far, the truth really isn’t easy to handle.

Back in November 2010 I was nearly 200 lbs.  I am still trying to find pictures of myself back then but I also was really good at finding the delete button or “untagging” myself (you know who you are!).  One year later I’m 40 lbs. lighter with a little more energy and drive.  I hope to end with some accomplishment of my ultimate goal: to be the best version of myself. I could give you a “goal weight” but I was never a numbers gal (English major in college).  I really just want to have fun at the gym.  Use less weights when I’m scuba diving.  Not need to go one size up.  Run up Koko Head.  Do a 5K.  Maybe the Honolulu Marathon in 2012.  The small stuff, you know.

I will be writing about things I don’t like to talk about…. weight, depression, anxiety, stress, self-loathe.  I hope to write more about motivation, transformations and accomplishments.  My quest to “get fit” is an ugly one (hey, I’m being honest) so I encourage many of you to turn to other positive blogs to seek inspiration.

So you’ve been warned!

Hi! My name is Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and website. I saw your blog a few days ago and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in receiving 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

Just to let you know, our website SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a level up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

Hi Sue – thanks for your message! I’m actually really terrible at tracking my food and logging so I don’t think I’ll be much help. I am sure you will find some willing testers soon. Thanks!
